When I did the second trip with my’bicycle onMonday the 7th ofMarch2011 around SriRacha-town I saw in one’lane up-hill near to’the RedCross Memorial-hospital aKinderGarten and‘just checked-out the’pictures;shall pay a visit some other time then andThursday the 10th’when I had to go to’hospital I decided to ask for’job-interview.

I was welcomed at’open gate by a’woman who was probably just a parent but when I asked’her’to talk to the chief of staff, she’guided me straight to’the boss in’side’the’building.
I was introduced to Miss Pen and’her husband Mister SomChai – when I remember his’name correctly.
…I had my’program with me and’showed&explained’to them. They seemed to be’interested and’were listening. I gave the’documents’for’show’in’their hands and via Mr SomChai his wife Khun Phen suddenly gave my’paper-work to one of her’staff while I was talking to’her husband.
I actually should have said’instantly: hey wait, please the’documents are just to be shown here but I didnt want to spoil the promising situation. So I continued to talk to them friendly and some-how Miss Bpen’asked me, where I live and I said’here inSriRacha;which apartment? SriMahaRacha. Ooh I know’she said. Here we have al’so’very cheap place – just behind’school; may-be you want to see!? Ooh I know&remember’from my last bicycle-trip when I came by here. How much you pay for your room? 3500 but I think I found my’place al’ready…she looked a little disappointed…Ooh okay I said’then, may-be we can take’look. Then she smiled and we went off together with her’husband to’these two’places. I just found it very strange’that actually I was here about a job-offer but now it’s switched to some-thing’unneccessary. But my documents I said’ yes’you will get’back later.
Okay we checked’the’places: At the first’no-one was in’office and‘the second’we checked one very simple&smelly room;would never want to change to’that for just saving a thousand Baht.
Strange was al’so that the’chief-couple were leaving the business when it was’arrival-time of the’parents’with their’kids and’wel’coming-ceremony by the staff.
She said’to’me on the’way that Iam‘very friendly guy etc.
But’returned to the Nursery she’asked her Chinese husband in Thai: Talk with him!
She went in’side’and I asked him if I shall better wait outside’
No he said’you can come with me in’side’
Then I chatted with him for a while and’got’back my’program/with-out checking it.
I offered’them a free presentation of this unique English-program and they showed very much interest in it.

Khun Paen’asked’me even to do it right away but I wasnt really prepared to per-form’well and’still wanted to wash’clothes and’needed to use’internet‘before leaving for’school in PatTAya. So I said’may-be tomorrow but the’husband needed to go to Rayong.The’week-end’would be closed as’usual but we’made’appointment forMonday9am then.
I was glad about the shown interest but’felt’strange about the’behavior coz of my’teaching-material.
They may have made’copies of it I thought!?
When’thinking about it’it becomes very obvious’
At’school I told’my’friends and’collegues about this’experience and every-one thought’the same’
Of-course they’made’copies of it and now they just want to see‘how to perform’
Ooh my gosh! How they can do’it? This is stealing my intellectual property! I have’created it by my-self in about one month time and’would now like to perform it.
So I realized that the promises of’employment (just 2 hours, twice a week) would never come true be-cause they just want to steal the good ideas of the’farang and’do it them-selves.
I under-stand about the’business but they could at least have asked me for it.
Now I had to decide’what to do?
My’friends said: Dont go’there any-more; you wont get any-thing’of them. They arent interested in employing you!
I had to agree to that’theory but’thought about an-other offer; just’give it a try.
Now they’ve got 50 % of my’knowledge but they still need to know how to perform’as they dont know the’melodies of the’songs and’the correct spelling of the’words.

So against the’advise of my’friends I went’there onMonday’again and Miss Bpaen was standing out-side al’ready and’wel’comed me’
I dont know if she really expected me’ but at least I was’loyal and’came to the(dis)appointment but I didnt bring the’program (just’flash-cards) with me. I think’she realised some-thing al’ready. And when we went inside’the’building and I asked’her: Khun Ben, can I have’word with you first? I need to tell you some-thing…she straight went out’with me again.
So I told’her’first that by the’immigration-law Iam not able to teach’to’the’children for her’business but I could teach all of the 14 staff’how to per-form the’program as I knew’that it was’any-way what they aimed’
So she smiled and’said’ yes’good idea too.
I continued to explain’
As you have’copies’al’ready…she agreed but acted like’normal…I would charge you 2000 Baht for all’the material and with it’give you the’right’to copy as much’as you’need’and’free usage for all’times. 2000 Baht for it? she asked’ Yes 2000 the sight-words al’one is’worth 500 al’ready!

In’addition to it I would train’your’staff in per-forming the’program to-get-her with the’kids and’even teach’them’correct pronunciation at’rate of 500 per hour. 500 an hour? Yes it’s only 500 for up to 16 people included the Chiefs and’all’the’kiddies plus even’parents of-course.
It would need may-be an-other 10 hours to’get’the right level thus’an investment of 5000 to 10ooo Baht one time only.
I further explained the pro-fit of it: She can offer’unique English-program per-formed by her own’teachers;can charge for that’at least’thousand Baht more per’month and’can offer even private lessons at her own rate. So it would certainly be a good profit for her in’future.
But as she didnt want to invest’money’ she’told’me: I have to ask my husband first but frankly her’husband didnt really look like’in’charge for any’decision…

So I went off with saying’ you have my’phone-number;can call’me’any time but I never got a’call from them.
I dont think that this เพ็ญ can use my’material’but Iam really disappointed about this’procedure.
By the way: out-side of the’compound there is’a’wall with’pictures of the’children-activities but’al’so the’name Montessori. Iam not sure’if they would really follow those’principles of’education or’just use it for show, as’usual.
